Looking for a once in a lifetime experience? Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to visit the reintroduced white rhino. A life time experience to Kidepo Valley National Park, besides the expected wild game drive across the park where you shall see lions and other animals, you can enjoy activities include hiking trips, sightseeting tours, birdwatching, and the rich culture of the Karimajongs. Have game drives on the large savannah at Murchison Falls National Park and boat trips to the Murchison Falls and the Victoria Nile delta. In the delta there is a fair change to see the strange shoebill. Meet a close relative in Kibale Forest during a chimp walk and see lots of birds and smaller primate species when walking through Bigodi Swamp. Look for lion, leopard and the unique Uganda kob during game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park. See lots of African buffalo, hippo, bushelephant and other mammals when sailing the Kazinga Channel, but don’t forget to look for birds and large nile crocodiles. Meet a small group of chimpanzees in the untouched Kyambura Gorge and look for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha Sector.

Have an extra day to explore Kisoro and surroundings. Spend time at a coffee tour or climb for example Mount Gahinga. Have to complete this great tour several game drives in Lake Mburo and watch for impala, plains zebra, eland antelope and topi, but don’t forget the wide variety of birds. Have a relaxing boat trip on Lake Mburo and look for the elusive African finfoot and wonder yourself about the large numbers of African fish eagle.

Tour Plan

  • Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe.
  • This day is primarily for relaxation after your journey. You can settle into your accommodation, enjoy the amenities, and perhaps take a stroll around the area.
  • In the evening, you'll gather for a welcome dinner where you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers. During this time, you'll receive a briefing about the safari, including safety guidelines, itinerary details, and what to expect during the trip.
  • After breakfast, you'll depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located approximately 3-4 hours away from Entebbe.
  • Upon arrival, you'll embark on a guided walking safari to track rhinos in their natural habitat. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot.
  • After the safari activity, you'll have lunch at the sanctuary and then spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying optional activities such as birdwatching or nature walks.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
  • Early in the morning, after breakfast, you'll depart for Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda's largest and oldest conservation areas, which will take about 3-4 hours by road.
  • Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River narrows through a gorge and plunges into the falls.
  • In the evening, you'll embark on a game drive in the park, providing opportunities to spot various wildlife species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and more.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be at a lodge within Murchison Falls National Park.
  • Your day will start with an early morning game drive to explore the savannah landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park. The early hours offer the best chances of spotting wildlife as they are most active during this time.
  • You'll enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, providing a unique dining experience surrounded by the wilderness.
  • After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to visit the top of Murchison Falls, where you can witness the sheer power of the Nile River as it squeezes through a narrow gorge.

  • After breakfast, you'll depart for Kibale Forest National Park, a journey of approximately 5-6 hours by road.
  • Upon reaching Kibale, you'll check-in at your lodge located near the park and have the afternoon free to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.
  • Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay.
  • Early in the morning, you'll embark on an exciting chimpanzee tracking expedition in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced guides, you'll trek through the dense forest in search of these fascinating primates.
  • Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to encounter other primate species and a variety of birdlife.
  • A picnic lunch will be served in the forest, allowing you to refuel and rest amidst the wilderness.
  • In the afternoon, you may have the option to visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for additional wildlife viewing opportunities.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge near Kibale Forest.
  • After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Kibale Forest and depart for Semliki National Park, which will take approximately 3-4 hours by road.
  • Upon arrival, you'll check-in at your lodge and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Albert. This boat cruise offers opportunities for birdwatching and enjoying the scenic beauty of the lake.
  • In the evening, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
  • The day begins with an early morning game drive in Semliki National Park, where you'll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife species, including primates, elephants, and more.
  • After the game drive, you'll visit the Sempaya Hot Springs, where you can observe natural geothermal activity and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the hot springs.
  • Lunch will be served back at the lodge, followed by some leisure time to relax or explore the surroundings.

  • After breakfast, you'll journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, specifically the Ishasha Sector, which is famous for its population of tree-climbing lions.
  • Upon arrival, you'll check-in at your lodge and have lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive to search for the unique lions.
  • The Ishasha Sector is also home to other wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species, providing ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

  • You'll start the day with a morning game drive in the Ishasha Sector, giving you another opportunity to search for the elusive tree-climbing lions and other wildlife.

  • After breakfast, you'll transfer to the Mweya Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is renowned for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
  • Upon arrival, you'll check-in at your lodge and have lunch.
  • In the afternoon, you'll embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, offering fantastic opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
  • Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge in Mweya.
  • The day begins with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its high concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and more.
  • After the game drive, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast.
  • Following breakfast, you'll visit the Katwe Salt Mines, where you can learn about traditional salt mining techniques and the importance of salt in the local community.

  • After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours by road.
  • Upon reaching Bwindi, you'll check-in at your lodge located near the park and have the afternoon free to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
  • Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay.
  • Today marks the highlight of your safari adventure as you embark on a gorilla trekking expedition in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
  • After an early breakfast, you'll proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers, who will provide guidance and allocate gorilla families to trek.
  • Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you'll set off into the dense forest in search of the gorillas.
  • Upon encountering a gorilla family, you'll spend a magical hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
  • A picnic lunch will be provided in the forest, allowing you to refuel and rest amidst the wilderness.

  • Your final day of safari begins with an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo NP, offering one last chance to observe the park's wildlife in their natural habitat.
